A DOG KNOWS
Nothing makes a foster mother happier than to know that her foster baby is happy about going to their forever home. The good news is that more often than not, somehow the foster dog knows that they are rising to forever dog status when they meet their new forever family. Maybe it is the joy on the faces of the new family when they finally get to pet and hug their newest addition or the love in their voices when they call their new pet by name for the first time. Or maybe it is just that a dog knows. They know that their long journey is at last over and they have a place of their very own.
Such was the case with Misty, adopted Spring 2008. Misty's adoption day was also her 6th birthday! Talk about a double delight!
Misty looks a little confused about why she has a balloon tied around her neck but she gets that it is all about her so it must be o.k. She seemed to enjoy her birthday walk on the beach a little more than the balloon and the corner though!
After a bath and lots of hugs from her foster Mom, Misty got a ride to meet her forever Mom. Wouldn't you know it, Misty ran straight to her, paws on her knees and kisses for her face. Looks like Misty knew and her new Mom was thrilled.
How is this for a happy ending?
