PUGGLES
The Boastful Boston has been waiting to do this blog on our new boy Kevin, who was renamed Puggles by his wonderful forever family. I don't normally do blogs without pictures, but I didn't' want to wait any longer to celebrate this special boy.
Kevin was between 6-8 years old when he arrived in foster care from a shelter. His back right foot was only partially developed and he had a previous eye injury. He walks with a hop but is still able to jump on bar stools to see the world from a better vantage point. He has a floppy ear but an adorable face.
His new family had sadly lost their senior boston and knew that they wanted to rescue another boston. All dog owners know that one dog never replaces another and that everyone is different in the grieving process. Some people can't endure one night of the silence that can fall over a house once occupied by a four legged family member. Others wait a long time before they are ready to open their hearts again and still others don't make the decision, they just literally walk into a new pet one day. Puggles' family had an empty place and they wanted to help a fur baby who needed a place of their own. His foster Mom fell in love with him from our posting on the available dogs page.
Here are some of the things his new family has to say:
He is just so precious and we are so blessed to have him! It's like we've had him since he was a pup. When I saw Kevin's photo at BTRNC I fell in love with him at first sight. He was our first choice. Thanks to BTRNC he is curled up beside me right now just snoozing away. Puggles has helped us so much in grieving the loss of Winnie and has added so much to our lives already. Rescuing him has been awesome! As I type this, Puggles is sitting in my lap with his chin resting beside the keyboard. :-) We have really bonded. He stays right by me 24/7 and I LOVE IT! He has just fit right in - in every way. His personality is blossoming and he gets funnier every day. For instance, he likes to sit on the sofa or chair. But not in the seat, on the top of the back cushion. It is hilarious!!!!!!!!! I want him to be able to enjoy the last 1/2 of his little life - he SO deserves it. Whatever he needs to have done we'll do it. He is our angel dog from heaven. We are SO glad we adopted him. Thank you so much for trusting us and giving us this precious little guy.
Just another example that defects and floppy ears are no match for the love and bond between a fur baby and their forever family. We are so happy that Puggles and his family found each other.
