SWEET SENSITIVE PARKER

Parker is available for adoption. You will find his profile on the Our Dogs Page. An e-mail from his foster Mom prompted this blog to be written tonight.
She wrote that some nice people had asked to meet Parker. Parker loved the"Dad" but the couple did not feel that he would be a good match for their family. She further wrote that Parker had seemed down in the dumps since their meeting. We respect and applaud the family for making the decision that is best for them. The Boastful Boston now has this visual of poor Parker feeling rejected so it seemed important to allow readers to know more of this sweet little man.

Parker sometimes will "carry" his leg in the air when he runs. It doesn't slow him down and we suspect that he may have developed this habit from an old injury. Our vet has indicated no evidence of an ongoing problem. Parker is between 2 and 3, still very young for a boston but we don't have his past history.

Since coming into foster care, he is getting more confident each day and still retains a passive sweetness. His house training has come a long way as has his crate training. He has learned the crate is a happy place and will now go in on his own. He continues to prefer spending his nights in the bed or on the sofa but will nap in his crate.
Parker has also overcome a bout with pneumonia since being in his foster home. He has been through a lot lately. Maybe this is why he prefers snuggling to toys. That can be a nice thing for Moms and Dads too! His foster Mom brags about Parker's unconditional love for everyone he meets and now he seals it with a kiss. He is definitely not an alpha dog, he attaches easily and will make someone a wonderful companion. There has been no sign of aggression, only the sweetness.

Maybe Parker's forever family is reading this right now! Paws crossed!
