A Little Bit of Nelly

New to foster care is ten-year-old Nelly suffering from none of the indignities that sometimes plague our elderly Bostons. She is active, playful, fully housetrained and a bundle of sweet, sweet love. She is a foster mother's dream.

"She is extremely quick and learns rapidly...She absolutely loves car rides but prefers to return home and play in "her own yard" rather then going somewhere else to "visit". Her favorite things are cow hooves, chew bones, soft rubber squeeky toys and to lie along side of you with your hand resting on her little body anywhere! She will turn over belly up to show you how much of herself she is willing to give you. She is very appreciative and enjoys lying in the sunshine on the back deck. She entertains herself nicely, if left alone to do so. Nelly is an absolute little doll baby and whoever adopts her will be totally delighted with her. The little lady is delicate and, like a true Boston Female, is not enamoured of the rain but will take herself outside in it if you insist."

Nelly is the kind of dog that forces us to wonder what could possibly have happened to her people that could have forced them to drop her off at the shelter or let her go astray? How could someone voluntarily give up this dog?

If an adorable senior gal is your cup of tea, we are happy to inform you that Nelly is still available for adoption. Click on this link, spend another moment gazing at Nelly's adoring face and then get to work on that adoption application!

Time is a wastin', exclaims,

The Bashful Boston
